A home is more than walls and furniture — it’s the backdrop to everyday life. At A Blue Nest, interiors are designed to feel collected over time, comfortable to live in, and rooted in intention.
With a love for vintage finds, natural materials, a bit of color and whimsy, and classic silhouettes, Jordan believes the most beautiful homes are layered with meaning rather than perfection. Each space is thoughtfully designed to support real life — family-friendly, inviting, and made to be enjoyed.
Whether styling shelves, refreshing a room, or curating a space virtually, Jordan helps clients create homes that reflect their stories and welcome them in, day after day.
Designing homes that are thoughtfully collected, deeply personal, and meant to be lived in.

At the heart of A Blue Nest is the belief that the most meaningful homes are layered over time, not rushed or over-styled. Design here values intention over perfection, favors natural materials and timeless pieces, and celebrates spaces that feel warm, functional, and quietly beautiful — homes made to be lived in and loved.

professional bio
Jordan is the designer and creative heart behind A Blue Nest.
Her love for home and beauty began early, shaped by story-rich films like Little Women, The Secret Garden, Father of the Bride, and A Little Princess — many of which still play on repeat in her home today. These cinematic worlds sparked an appreciation for spaces that feel nostalgic, layered, and quietly meaningful.
Much of Jordan’s youth was spent dancing and getting lost in books and history, with a particular fascination for ancient Egypt. While her childhood dream of becoming an Egyptologist eventually gave way, it led her naturally to the study of Art History, focusing on medieval and Renaissance art. She earned her BA in Art History from Middle Tennessee State University, alongside a minor in dance — a foundation that continues to influence her thoughtful, art-driven approach to design.
In 2013, with her husband newly home from the Army and a six-month-old daughter in tow, Jordan created A Blue Nest as a way to document the renovation of their new (old) home and carve out a creative outlet during the early days of motherhood. What began as a personal refuge soon became something more — a passion rooted in storytelling, lived-in beauty, and a lifelong love of home.
